LOCATION

The Tirua Project is located in the Western Province of the Solomon Islands on the southern end of New Georgia Island. The New Georgia Island is part of the New Georgia Islands Group, approximately 1 hour flight time from Honiara, Guadalcanal, the capital city of the Solomon Islands. See our location map.

EXPLORATION

The Project is centred on a massive volcanic caldera (15km diameter) which has suffered sector collapse similar to the Lihir deposit (48.5Moz Au) volcanic caldera (2km diameter). New airborne magnetic data and exploration by XDM Resources has identified several extensive zones of alteration (with potential for copper-gold porphyry style mineralisation) that have not been recognised by previous explorers.
